Voiceless monolith
Whispering silent secrets
Heard beyond hearing
(Sue Vincent)
ancient tales thought to be lost
witnessed across the ages
I’ve used Sue Vincent’s haiku as the hokku to create this tanka, accompanied by her photo.
You two should collaborate more often. I love this–the “voiceless” monolith that whispers and the ancient tales that were thought to be lost, but aren’t. The photo is wonderful, too. It could be seen as wise and enlightening, or menacing.
