A spark, at first, but then a quake
One look from her would make me shake
Make no mistake, there was no plot
But I just knew we’d tie the knot
Though some might think that premature
That day will come, of that I’m sure
Right from the start, she’s been my muse
And helped to turn me from the blues
Yes, every day since I did spy
The universe within her eyes
Has been a boon and surely worth
The chance to have her on this earth
I hope I’m forgiven for laughing at my own poetry (however true it may be), but this was a fun exercise.
The five word prompts for The Secret Keeper’s Weekly Word Prompt #27 are worth, spark, plot, quake and spy.
Oh, cute. A fantastic use of the required words. It is light enough to be funny, but I am romantic enough to hope it’s true.

A lovely take on the words. A romance blooming from a spark to high intensity. I am so pleased you had great fun writing your poetry. Better than being frustrated for sure. Everyone writes and thinks in their individual way. Some find the words flows, others find them tough. Maybe that is a good thing. It gets the mind and muse working and creating something special by the time one is done. At least that is the hope. Love romance being a romantic.
