The Null Sum of Travel

The Null Sum of Travel

The Null Sum of Travel
(regardless of time or space)

confined in a space
removed from the space
we traverse

we arrive
confines removed
only to discover we have
always been there

where we have been
where we are
where we are going

no confines can remove
past
present
future
from any moment

each stays with us
within each moment

Elan Mudrow’s poem One, One Thousand. Two, One Thousand, caused me to consider the significance of time within each moment.  Specifically, it was his line, “As we confine ourselves in a space,” that brought me here.
